============================

This directory contains the source code for the JLEB API. The examples
are in the jlebTests/ parent directory.

API Code (described in section 3 of the "Using JLEB" report):
 * Screen.java, Board.java,
   HIDScreen.java
   LedScreen.java, LedPanel.java   (see section 1)
 * Sprite.java, SpriteStore.java
 * Utils.java, ArrUtils.java

-----
JLEB Tools (see section 4):
 * ToChars.java
 * ToHex.java
 * DrawBoard.java, DrawPanel.java

------
Directories:
 * fonts/
     - contains smallFont.txt, mediumFont.txt, bigFont.txt
 * sounds/
     - contains 50 WAV sound clips

------
Batch files for compiling/JARing:
  * compile.bat
     - make sure it refers to the correct location
       for your download of javahidapi
  * toJar.bat

----------------------------
Before Compilation/JARing:

You need to download and install:
  * javahidapi: https://github.com/torbjornvatn/javahidapi

    From the ZIP file you need a minimum of 2 files:
      -  hidapi-1.1.jar, from javahidapi-master\dist\lib\

      - the correct native library for your OS from javahidapi-master\lib\native
         e.g. on 32-bit Windows get javahidapi-master\lib\native\windows\x86\hidapi-jni-32.dll
         e.g. on 64-bit Windows get javahidapi-master\lib\native\windows\x86_64\hidapi-jni-64.dll

     - rename the library (if necessary) to hidapi-jni.<EXT>
       (e.g. hidapi-jni-64.dll is renamed to hidapi-jni.dll)

     - my code assumes that hidapi-1.1.jar and hidapi-jni.dll are in
       the folder D:\javahidapi

----------------------------
Compiling JLEB:

> compile.bat *.java
     - make sure compile.bat refers to the correct location
       for your download of javahidapi

----------------------------
JARing JLEB:

> toJar.bat
   -- this does three things:
        1) calls compile.bat on all the Java files
        2) packages the class files as jleb.jar
        3) copies jleb.jar up a level to the jlebTests/ folder
