Bachelor of Engineering The Department of Computer Engineering offers a four-year undergraduate program at both Hatyai Campus and Phuket Campus. Students study basic science and engineering courses during their first two years and then core subjects in Computer Engineering during the remaining final two years. The core subjects are based on concentration of the following areas:
In addition to coursework, students are required to work on a 2-semester senior project and to obtain an industrial training in order to strengthen their engineering skills. The undergraduate program at Phuket Campus is slightly different from that at Hatyai Campus in that 30 % of its Computer Engineering courses are guaranteed to be taught in English. Our undergraduate program annually admits 180 students for Hatyai Campus and 120 students for Phuket Campus. Interested applicants should apply through the Thai National University Entrance Examination organized by the Commission on Higher Education. Scholarship Scholarship for high school students with special gift in computer This scholarship, called “DaoRung” program in Thai, aims to recruit high school students who demonstrate good programming skill or solid knowledge in computer into the Department. Successful applicants are admitted to study at the Department directly without a hassle of applying through the regular admission system or the Thai National University Entrance Examination. In addition to the cash of 30,000 Baht awarded at entrance, the successful applicants can waive a tuition fee and the Faculty’s special fee of 5,000 Baht for the first semester. These two fees will be waived in later semesters if the scholarship recipient’s cumulative grade point average is above 2.75. You need JavaScript enabled to view it . 5000 Baht Scholarship This scholarship is sponsored by the Faculty of Engineering to promote outstanding academic merit among all of its engineering students. The scholarship is awarded per semester base to engineering students with a grade point average above 3.00. Other Scholarships In addition to the scholarships mentioned above, there are additional scholarships from outside industrial companies, government organizations and research groups in both the Department and the Faculty. The conditions of these scholarships vary. Their examples are financial hardship, academic merit, extracurricular activittiy and leadership skill.
